Diana Shaw-President Diana Shaw

Diana and her family have been east valley residents for over 25 years. She has three children, all who now are in college and grew up attending schools in the Kyrene and Tempe Union High School District. After retiring from a twenty five year career with American Express, Diana joined the EVWL with the goal of meeting new people and finding ways to give back in the community. Diana has been an EVWL board member since 2004 and currently serves as the 2008-2009 President.

Karen Fargotstein-Vice PresidentKaren Fargotstein

Karen and her family have been in the East Valley for 26 years. She has two children, Kristine and Matt. Kristine is living in Washington D. C. and works for the National Association of Broadcasters. Matt is a junior at the University of San Diego. Phil (husband) is an attorney at the Law firm of Fennemore Craig. Karen joined EVWL to meet new people and to help give back to the community. Karen has been Recording Secretary, Purse Auction Chair and is currently Vice President.

Brenda Sartori-Treasurer

Brenda Sartori

Brenda and her family have lived in Arizona for 19 years. She has one sone who is a sophomore in high school. Brenda is em,ployed at Wells Fargo Bank as a Project Manager/AVP and has been with them for 25 years. Brenda was the treasurer for her son's elementary school PTO and is currently a board member for the Desert Vista High School Lacrosse Club. Brenda has been with EVWL for just over one year and is the current Treasurer.

Sharon Jorgensen-Recording Secretary Sharon Jorgensen

Sharon Jorgensen, born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota, made Arizona her new home after she graduated from Arizona State University with a Business Management Degree in 1988. She and her husband Dan have two children at Corona del Sol High School. They reside in Tempe.

Sharon has been involved with philanthropic projects and volunteer charity work for over 20 years. Her current position with EVWL is Recording Secretary. This is her second term in this position. She has also been the chairman of the Cinderella Affair and the Silent/Live Derby Auction in years' past. Other previous voluntary board positions included Secretary of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Vice President of Aprende Middle School PTSO (3 years), Kyrene Site Council Representative (2 years) and others. Her goal is to keep meeting more wonderful ladies associated with EVWL and keep giving back to our Arizona community.

Denise Bork-Corresponding Secretary

Denise Bork

Denise is a second generation Arizona native who has lived in various areas of the east valley all of her life. She is the proud mother of 3 adult children and grandmother of two- all born, raised and still residing in the Phoenix area. Denise's volunteer work started over 25 years ago with helping out at her children's schools in many different capacities, one being serving a year as treasurer of the Waggoner PTO in Mesa. She has been involved with other philanthropic organizations such as Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity. This will be her second term as Corresponding Secretary. She has chaired many committees in her 7 years with EVWL and has found it very fullfilling to give back to the community that has given her so much throughout her life.

Denise Vance

Denise Vance is a native of Arizona, and has enjoyed watching it grew, and grow and grow.....East Valley Women's League is an important part of her life, allowing her to reach out and give to others, while meeting the 'best girls in the State'!! She is married to Dell Vance, a former farmer, when land was available, and now a realtor and she has two daughters, ages 25 and 27 and a 16 year old son. She currently serves as ex-officio, past President on the Board of EVWL.
